2 Days, 1 Night
A Journey to Experience the Living Spirit of the Samurai in Aizu

Story

Aizu flourished as a domain ruled by the younger brother of Tokugawa Iemitsu, the third shogun, and developed a samurai culture deeply rooted in loyalty, discipline, and moral integrity. In times of peace, Aizu’s samurai served not only as warriors, but as guardians of social order and moral exemplars.
The essence of Aizu Bushidō lies in self-discipline and the lifelong cultivation of mind and character. On this tour, participants visit Nisshinkan, the former domain school of the Aizu clan, to experience practices such as zazen meditation and kyūdō, and meet descendants of samurai families—discovering a living spirit that continues to shape Aizu today.
