I love to communicate and meet with people from different cultures. My hobby is triathlon. So, in spring, summer and autumn, I am good at activities such as running, swimming, biking etc, and in winter skiing. I would be happy if you could feel Aizu's goodness while walking together in a historic town or in rich nature. Hello there! I’m Mariko. I’m a licensed Tour Guide. I was born in Fukushima and that’s where I live now, but I also lived in Tokyo for more than 30 years. Before that, I lived in Germany for three years. I have worked for an American company, a French company and a Japanese company and I have made a lot of business and personal trips to the US, Europe and Asia. Now I teach English to Japanese people and Japanese to foreigners, as well as being a tour guide. So, I think I’m quite international at this point.
My hobbies are mountain climbing, walking through the streets of the cities and towns, and Aikido, which is one of the martial arts. I also like eating local foods and drinking sake and meeting people.
　What would you like to do during your trip to Japan? By understanding what you’d like to do and see, I will be able to plan the best trip for you anyplace in Fukushima, Tohoku, Tokyo and many other areas.
