Hello there! I’m Mariko. I’m a licensed Tour Guide. I was born in Fukushima and that’s where I live now, but I also lived in Tokyo for more than 30 years. Before that, I lived in Germany for three years. I have worked for an American company, a French company and a Japanese company and I have made a lot of business and personal trips to the US, Europe and Asia. Now I teach English to Japanese people and Japanese to foreigners, as well as being a tour guide. So, I think I’m quite international at this point.
My hobbies are mountain climbing, walking through the streets of the cities and towns, and Aikido, which is one of the martial arts. I also like eating local foods and drinking sake and meeting people.

I love to communicate and meet with people from different cultures. My hobby is triathlon. So, in spring, summer and autumn, I am good at activities such as running, swimming, biking etc, and in winter skiing.
