Fukushima Recovery East Coast Bus Tour
15 years on from the devastating events of the 2011 triple disaster - earthquake, tsunami and nuclear disaster - this guided tour provides a chance to see Fukushima's modern east coast for yourself and visit some of the major sites involved. You'll be shown around by an English-speaking guide with deep knowledge of the region and its history. Departing from and returning to Koriyama Station - 75 minutes from Tokyo on the bullet train - this day trip will take visitors to: - The Great East Japan Earthquake and Nuclear Disaster Memorial Museum - The ruins of Ukedo Elementary School - The shopping hub of Namie Roadside Station - The new March 11 Memorial Park for a moment of reflection A deluxe lunch at the Futatabi Futaba hotel using local ingredients is included in the tour price.
